UpVoter operates on two domains with different cookie behaviours:
- upvoter.io — the public website (this site): no cookies of any kind. - app.upvoter.io — the SaaS application: uses technical cookies and, with your prior consent, analytics cookies.
A cookie is a small text file that a website can store on your device to remember information between visits. Their use is regulated in Spain by Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI) and by the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
We do not use cookies. Browsing upvoter.io does not install any files on your device. We do not use session, preference, analytics or advertising cookies.
Browsing preferences — such as the selected language — are reflected directly in the URL (for example, `/es/` or `/en/`). No data is stored on your device for this purpose.
We do not integrate web analytics tools, advertising networks or third-party tracking services. No third party installs cookies through this site.
The application uses the following types of cookies:
Managed by Supabase, our authentication provider. They store the session of the logged-in user and are essential for the app to work. They do not require consent.
We use PostHog to measure application usage and improve the service. PostHog installs an analytics cookie (`ph_*`) only if the user explicitly accepts via the consent banner shown on first access to the app.
If you reject analytics cookies, PostHog is not initialised and no such cookie is installed. The application works fully as normal.
You can change your decision at any time by clearing your browser cookies, which will show the consent banner again.
Yes. If we were to introduce new cookies or similar technologies, we would update this page before doing so and, where required by law, request your prior consent.
